HEADTEACHER'S LETTER

Dear Parents, Children and Friends

From our Nursery through to our top juniors our aim is to create a happy, exciting, caring and safe environment for your child.  They will receive an excellent all round education and will have the opportunity to develop the skills they need to be able to achieve to the best of their ability and to fulfil their wonderful potential.

Our children are central to all we do.  Caring, sharing and respecting others is at the heart of our school and we work hard to make sure that every child feels valued and respected for the contribution they make to our school family.

We believe that education is so much more than just acquiring knowledge. As a primary school we want our children to leave here with the skills, understanding and attitudes necessary to carry them through their teenage years and into adult life. We encourage them to challenge attitudes, be independent and active thinkers and to think about and act on the issues they see in the world around them.

We welcome you into our school community as the parents and families of our children.  You are your child’s first and most important teacher and we recognise and value the important part you play in your child’s education.  By joining in with school activities, supporting your child’s learning, taking part in the parent groups which are run in school and by talking with us about your child’s learning we can together ensure that your child receives the best possible start in life.
